Amy Cook Olson, Esq., is a trial lawyer with a focus on the representation of physicians, nurses, hospitals, and health care corporations involved in medical negligence and health care litigation. She is an experienced trial lawyer, and has tried over fifty cases throughout her career including complex multi-week trials.
Ms. Cook Olson serves as national outside counsel for several health care corporations and defends litigation throughout the United States in cases involving complex and class action litigation involving health care and business disputes. Ms. Cook Olson also represents both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury and products liability matters.
Reflecting her heights of professional excellence, ethical standards and integrity, Ms. Cook-Olson was awarded an AV Preeminent rating* by Martindale-Hubbell. She has been recognized as a Top 50 Colorado Women Lawyer by Super Lawyers and has earned annual recognition as a Colorado Super Lawyer since 2011.

Trattler v. Citron, 182 P.3d 674 (Colo. 2008) Opinion holding that the Court’s striking of Plaintiff’s expert for his failure to comply with the requisites of Rule 26, including providing a reasonably complete testimonial history, was a disproportionate sanction resulting in remand.
St. Croix v. University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, 166 P.3d 230 (Colo. App. 2007) Opinion holding that the plaintiff, who was a 2nd year surgical resident at the University, did not establish a prima facie case of discrimination against CU for a hostile work environment.
Hartman v. Nordin, 147 P.3d 43 (Colo. 2006) Amicus brief for the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. Opinion holding that the defense could reasonably inquire as to a patient’s family history without violating the physician-patient privilege.
